Ghastly

I have to admit that this review might be a little lacking in credibility, since I probably saw about a sixth of the film, if that. However, it was literally so awful that I had to turn it off. I made three tries at watching it, each with a different scene, and they were all equally repellent. I felt it was fair to assume that it would never get any better. What made it so disgusting? Certainly there are films out there with much lower production values (although these were nothing special), and I've seen rougher, more abusive sex (although this was certainly uniformly unkind). Rather, it was the accumulation of a lot of little mediocrities: the sex was mechanical, the guys sullen, the girls average, the setting undistinguished, and so forth. There were no bright spots anywhere, just a sorry, formulaic, shoddy, and half-hearted piece of junk. My time is worth more than that.
