Synopsis:
Beauty. Brains. Wealth. French dazzler Laure Sainclair has a lot of things to be thankful for. Unfortunately, a faithful husband isn't one of them. How far will she go to win back her man? Just ask Matalena, a voodoo sorceress that gives new meaning to the term "black magic". A spell or two cast in the right places and there's no telling where it might lead. One thing's for sure though. In this game, if you play, you pay, one way or another.
Here's a film whose final product is something that the producers actually wanted to be proud of. It is artfully done with a fun–albeit campy–plot that revolves around the advice of the amazingly built and exotic sorceress that you see on the cover. If she were involved in more of the movie's explicit scenes, I would have given it 5 stars. As it happens, however, her involvement with the cast's white male protagonist and other 4 or so other white women, while extremely sexy, was too limited to really get me off. The other female cast memebers are beutiful and built , and definitley take the viewer on some exciting sexual excursions in the confines of some luxurious European homes. Le Prix de la Luxure also offers some nice lesbian and two-on-one scenes. Aside from a couple of quick scenes involving other men, the film basically revolves around just one male actor. While he is pretty good, for me and my girlfriend, he didn't quite have what it takes to be the dominant male element throughout the movie. Definitely a technically and artistically well done movie that entertains. Depending on the viewer's taste, it could really do the job. And if you are getting ready to go to Europe, the DVD's choices of dubbing and even subtitles provides a very sexy linguistic primer!
As always, Laura is terrific. A very sexy woman! The rest was OK. My wife loved it. The major distraction was one of the women. We ended up calling her the human vibrator. She would shake her head quickly at times which was distracting. Other than that she was very sensual.
Marc Dorcel productions are usually a cut above the rest. In this video, the settings are wonderful, costumes great and some of the actors attractive while some less so.
This effort loses points for too much story line between vignettes and too much time spent on a lame story line.
this was a disappointment. only one or two girls that were really very attractive and nobody talks throughout the movie. the girls don't even hardly make any noises either there wasn't really anything redeeming about this movie. I thought it'd be cool to watch a movie in french (and yes there is an english dub) but don't bother they don't say a thing in either language. Skip this movie
