Synopsis:
Gail Palmer's throoughly entertaining sequel to the "Candy" original. Candy comes to Hollywood and soon becomes the sexual toast of Tinseltown. An absolutely superior sex comedy.
i saw this film originally in a porno theater, back around 1980.i really enjoyed carol connors,as the sweet,dim-witted candy.but as is noted by another reviewer, there seems to be pieces missing.the "dong show" segment was hilarious, then, and still today.the actor's portrayal of chuck barris is dead on.john leslie is in great form as the sleazy agent, too.the "older crowd" will like this one for the nostalgia factor-hairy pussies, natural tits, and cheesy music....
This is a nice old movie. There's some story, so it moves a little slow. The sex scenes are average. But I like the seduction of this young woman (Carol Connors) by the men and ladies. If you Role-play, this will give you some good ideas.
Candy Goes To Hollywood is my all time favorite XXX film. It's funny, erotic, and Carol Connors is hot, hot, hot. However...
When VCX transferred this film to DVD, it's anybody's guess where the master copy came from. Entire chunks of the film are missing and the print looks like it went through a shredder. What the hell happened here? I have a VHS master that's complete and looks pretty good-why wasn't a better source used? VCX DVDs aren't exactly in the bargain bin either, so there's absolutely no excuse for this.
On the positive side, this film has a cameo by the late Wendy O. Williams, punk rock diva and lead singer of the Plasmatics, shooting ping pong balls out of her cooch. Classic. Thing is though, anyone not around during the 70's may not comprehend a lot of the parody.
