Synopsis:
Follow Reagan's youth as they revive the early 80's and focus on the important things in life: sex, music, and doing whatever the fuck they want. No parents, no school, no rules. No need to pull out those dusty ol' seven inches either (ehm, we mean records, you pervs), 'cause the Circle Jerks have got our backs with a soundtrack blasting their classic anthems! "You call that racket music?" No, we call it Circa '82, a time when punk was as raw as the sex!
It all comes down to what you are into. Vividalt is a great idea, and the girls in Circa '82 are hot in the correct hipster sort of way: there is accuracy here in regard to aesthetic, and that carries this movie. The girls look like the types you see at the rock show or thrift store and dream about f*cking, later. Also, shot on film, which looks really cool. Those things being said, the edits here were typical Vivid-awful: too many quick cuts that function as faux-artsy and break up enjoying the action. If you like hipster porn, it's definitely worth renting. 3.5 stars.
